Further Confusion will be my first time heading out to California and I’m already so excited about it! As promised, here is the journal regarding badges that I will have ready for pick up at the convention.

ALL pre-order badges are digital and will be printed, cut out, and laminated (as usual) AND also come with a badge clip as well- all ready for you to wear at the con!

I will be taking traditional badge commissions at FC (and I will hopefully be laminating them there with my personal laminator). Badge clips will be given out first come, first serve until I run out! EDIT: I was asked if I could do themed badges and the answer is YES, I can definitely do themed badges in addition to generic ones as well! The theme ones would probably be like a simple prop and an old western font type for the name. Just indicate that you would like that option when you fill out the form. (:

I'm heading back to school tomorrow morning for my third year of college. I did really well last year and I'm hoping there is such thing as repeat miracles lol

I spent a lot of the last couple of weeks doing art. I got to hang out with Sidi and yea... it seriously was the summer of badges. lol I finished up a my last batch of the summer today and hopefully will be reopening them soon for FurtherConfusion preorders. I'm really hoping that I end up going. I had a lot of fun at Anthrocon this year and it was a great first experience, I can't wait to see what other cons are like lol I got to meet Bleu, and the three days that we spent together was the happiest I have ever been in my entire life. This August marks our first year together! <3

As for other news, my fursuit work has been put on hold until the next time I can get home or have time to work on it. I'm leaving the head and footpaws at home (I think taking them to school with me might cause an argument with my parents...I already have had too many confrontations with them this summer about anything art related lol) However I'm getting PawsProductions to make a tail and paw/arm sleeves set for my character Carbon at a really good price offsetted by art commissions. Last time I heard from her, she estimated that they should be completed around the end of September. I wanted the set for Fell but I'm currently saving up for a full suit of her from Syber at a great price so I felt getting duplicates of Fell would be overkill lol So I'm planning on making the head for Carbon out of the fursuit head that I have already made. She'll be a partial only...I think her colors could very possibly make someone go blind XD 

And how will I pay for all of this? Art and some work money as well. But mostly art. I'm going to live in an apartment with 5 other roommates and no meal plan so I'm going to be responsible for getting food for myself lol I should be getting some research work later on so that will help pay for food and some of it will go towards making the payments for the suit as well.

Anyways, time to get the mindset back into school mode. Let's go Fell!! :D

Yes indeedly. I started working on my fursuit this week and I'm happy to say that its going rather well. I did the all-foam head base over two days. The shape and size along with the muzzle shape and length were the hardest parts to do, however the fitting is perfect so I can't really complain... however balaclava is the way to go for my next attempt!  

I did a tape patten for furring the head yesterday and that was a pretty quick process.

Today I made the eyes using acrylic paint on buckram and wow, they really made the entire head come together! I decided to go with cartoon eyes rather than realstic ones for my first attempt. I'm going to try finding my old hurley chucks for the pawfeet and look for material for a test bodysuit. While my main goal is a partial, its cheaper to order more yardage online at one time so I'm going to factor in creating a body. And plus in making the test bodysuit, I can re-hone my skills using a sewing machine and doing some hand sewing  (:

I'm waiting on the faux fur swatch samples that I requested online. Hopefully if all the colors work out well, I'll be able to budget how much material I'll need as well as the cost.

I have been taking pictures and will be uploading them sometime later.

As for other arts, I have been getting a steady stream of commission work and its been such an encouragement to get feedback from very satisfied customers promising repeat business.

All in all, its going well. Nevertheless, its too soon to celebrate- lots of work to do still. Wish me luck! (:
